Unlocking the Dead-Lock!

What is your passion? Why are you pursuing that career? Are you presently what you have always dreamed of becoming? Do you feel stagnant do you see a dead-end ahead of you? Has your mind reached a dead-lock of ideas?

In life we reach dead-ends when we say so and when we reconcile ourselves with that confession! There is no place we can be that is void of a way out unless we stop searching for that way and give our lives over to 'what-will-be-will-be.' There is a solution right inside of you. Many people have found great opportunities in the field that you are pursuing and many more others are frustrated by it, the difference being the attitude that exists in these two groups of people.

I began my career in a transport company, it sure looked like a dead end but what I was then is not what I am today. I told myself I was going to be better than what I was. I did not consider my situation then as permanent. I looked at it as my road to a better future. I could barely raise my rental from that job and buying a loaf of bread was an investment. A river will go through rocky terrain but there is a better course ahead of it. As it meander the course before it, it will surely reach a place of smooth flowing. The greatest encouragement is the one that you build right inside of you. It is the motivation that you give yourself to succeed that will cause you to make it in life. If you don't raise your personal motivation, you are bound to fail and to be frail in the face of the challenges of life.

Life is not determined by where you begin but by where you want to go. Cease to look at your past experiences as being the determinant factor of your success. I am personally challenged by a young South African swimmer called Natalie Du Toit. She was involved in an accident in which she lost her leg. This experience did not kill her swimming career it seems to have fueled it. She has continued persisting in her career and is collecting gold medals in worldwide swimming tournaments.

What are your personal goals and what is your vision? Where do you want to get to? What is your destination in life? When you are clear on the answers for these questions, you can then develop the necessary hunger that will propel you to that place. Without hunger, you sideline yourself to the mundane. Hunger will drive you to read more in your area, it will coerce you to seek more until you are so shaped and empowered to match your dream! Visualize it and you will become it! You become what you see, if you see dead-ends you become a dead-end! You will become stagnant and others will start smelling the stench that is consistent with stagnant waters. Opportunities will elude you and you will be stuck with those people that have already failed.

Change your mindset about yourself that is the first STEP to a life of greatness. There are many opportunities around you beckoning you to ride on them! These are not seen by a mind riddled with traditions and preconceived concepts. They are only identified and exploited by people with minds that are prone to change and are excited to do new things. They are for those that are kin to see beyond the barriers.

Today you must change your thinking processes. Your physical limitations will remain as long as your mental limitations are still intact. Today you must deliberately start setting goals for your life it is yet possible for you to match your lifetime dream. Awaken the super achiever in you. The ‘dead-end’ that was imposing itself on you is not real but only the creations of a mind that has given up!
