The Law of Declaration

It was in March 1998, just five months after finishing my studies for a degree. I remember I had already been to several interviews in search for employment but no opportunities seemed to open up. The stress levels were rising and I was out of pocket. With four siblings it was a mission to even get support from my father’s salary who was nearing his retirement and working as a driver.

One of the easiest things to do then was to be negative, after all some of my friends were already working. It was easy to point to all kinds of things but in all that, I leant a valuable law and I have applied this law ever since with tremendous results. This law, I have called The Law of Declaration. One day I was walking in a street that had a nice building in it! I started imagining myself working in that building and the idea was stirring something inside me. I then opened my mouth and declared something to my girlfriend, who now is my wife, “I am going to be working in that building soon." Did I know any companies with offices there? No! Was I connected to anyone in that building? The answer again is NO! I was operating in a different law and that is the law of declaration.

Just a month passed, I was sitting at home. A call came through and it was a friend who urgently needed a copy of my resume. A work mate had approached him to ask if he knew of anyone who at that time miraculously was suiting my description. He immediately placed a call to me and within a short time I was in his office with my resume. Little did I know that the actual destination of that resume was the building I would work in, yes the one I had declared. A few days later I had started working on the 13^th Floor of that building.

The Law Of Declaration is a higher law that people fail to harness and use to their advantage. As a law it is as certain as the Law of Gravity. Your mouth is one of the most powerful tools that you are given apart form your mind. The words that you say carry with them massive power that can bring immediate results. Contrary to what we have been taught, everything created hears the words that we say. You can speak to a mountain, a situation and anything that you face in life! Indeed you can speak to a disease that you have, you hold with you the power of declaration.

What you declare is what you get. You must stop the habit of speaking negative things. Your words are creative and they wield in them a lot of power. When I leant these principles I am sharing with you my life changed. I am no longer given to such statements as “I can’t!" Each morning I wake up the attitude I have is, “I can do all things!" I have taken time to study successful people and this is the attitude that they have. Delay certainly does not mean denial, you must keep yourself motivated! It might seem like you have failed the first time but there is power in trying again! There is a song we used to sing as kids, “Try, try, try again, if at first you don’t succeed, try, and try again!" The significance and the truth of that little song is not worn out, it still relevant today! Those who keep trying never fail.

Today I challenge you to start changing your declarations because The Law Of Declaration applies to anything that you say with your mouth. You can get out of that difficult situation simply by making use of your mouth!
